It's time to continue the tradition with the Bedford Olde Towne Day celebration. As our Town continues to grow every year, it is comforting to know that on this date (Saturday) September 20, 2025 many volunteers will take time out of their busy schedules to provide a day of activities for the residents of our Town. This type of activity helps to show what community is really all about.
It is exciting to know the history behind BOTD which was started in 1994, when Mary Lou and Bruce Wilson coordinated the Towns’ Community groups and local restaurants creating the atmosphere of an old town fair, right here in Bedford. Each year, groups of local organizations and businesses in town worked together to turn the Sportsman’s and Riley Field Complex into a festive afternoon with fun for all ages. The event outgrew the original location in the parking lot of the Bedford Village Shoppes and promises to continue to grow with the help of dedicated Bedford residents. In 2025 we will be going to Preston Field (field behind McKelvie School) to host this event.
In the past kids have enjoyed a bounce-house sponsored by the Bedford Men’s Club along with many other organizations offering fun and exciting activities.
You and your family can enjoy all of this while listening to local entertainment as well at the Performance Stage. Hop on down on Saturday, September 20th starting at 10 AM and ending with the culmination of our “hoppin’ good time” at 3 PM with the Bull Frog Bounce. The plastic numbered frogs have fallen out of the sky with help from the Bedford Fire Department ladder truck and jumped record distances. Even during leap year!
